Hand Mirrors

Understanding and distinguishing vowel sounds can be abstract for young students. Help make the process for learning letter-sounds more concrete by using small mirrors. When students use the mirrors, they can see what their mouth is doing when producing the letter-sounds. Be sure to draw attention to their teeth, tongue, lips, and vocal cords. This will help with speech sound articulation!
